CLIENT SNAPSHOT
Fragmented communication and security systems making seamless connectivity a challenge.
A leading corporate law firm, with expertise spanning banking & finance, advisory, infrastructure, media, and many more.
The client was operating with disconnected phone systems, VC tools, and security setups.
This resulted in fragmented communication and infrastructure. Their existing setup lacked a unified platform and structured, certified cabling to reliably support their growing technology needs.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
| Before | After | |
| Voice & telephony | Separate, disconnected phone setups per location | Single unified communications platform linking all three offices |
| Video conferencing | No dedicated meeting-room video system | Boardroom-grade video conferencing unit |
| Connectivity | Single-path, location-by-location internet links | Redundant leased line, MPLS, and internet paths tying all sites together |
| Surveillance | Limited, inconsistent camera coverage | IP camera coverage with centralized NVR recording at every site |
| Cabling & infrastructure | Ad hoc cabling, no formal documentation | Fully structured, certified Cat-6 cabling with rack-level documentation |
THE CHALLENGE
One firm, three locations, no common system
Operating across multiple sites, the firm’s communication tools had grown independently at each location. Getting a client or colleague to the right person on the first try wasn’t guaranteed, and there was no dedicated way to run a proper video call between offices.
Their security coverage was equally inconsistent, with no centralized way to monitor multiple sites.
The underlying cabling had never been documented or certified. This made any future change harder than it needed to be.
THE SOLUTION
One unified platform, tying three sites together
| 3 LOCATIONS UNIFIED | 30+ IP PHONES DEPLOYED | 1 UNIFIED COMMS PLATFORM | 2x REDUNDANT WAN LINKS |
Unicom Infotel designed and deployed a single unified communications and security architecture spanning all three locations.
These were connected over redundant network paths.
Unified Voice & Messaging
An enterprise unified communications platform now anchors calling, voicemail, and instant messaging. Over 30 IP phones were deployed across desks and meeting rooms.
Unified communications platform · 30+ IP phones · unified voicemail & IM
Video Conferencing
A dedicated video conferencing unit gives the firm a proper boardroom-grade meeting experience between offices, instead of the earlier ad hoc calls.
Dedicated video conferencing unit
Resilient Connectivity
Leased line, MPLS, and internet links now run in parallel across the three sites.
This results with voice and data traffic being independent and not on any single connection staying up.
Leased line + MPLS + internet · multi-path WAN
Surveillance & Structured Cabling
IP cameras with NVR-based recording now cover each site.
All running on newly structured, certified Cat-6 cabling with full rack and port documentation for easy future changes.
IP surveillance + NVR · certified structured cabling
Client identity withheld per customer confidentiality agreement.
