CLIENT SNAPSHOT
An aging network holding back a modern learning environment.
A leading international K–12 school in Hyderabad. The institution is known for its learner-centric approach and strong emphasis on technology-enabled education.
Serving students from early years through senior school, the campus combines modern teaching practices with digital learning environments to deliver a holistic educational experience.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
| Before | After |
| Two networks operating as one. | One unified network. |
| Single point of failure at the network edge. | High-availability firewalls remove the single point of failure. |
| Limited capacity for growing network demand. | Multi-gigabit access points, high-speed uplinks support future growth. |
| Limited traffic segmentation. | VLAN segmentation isolates staff, student, and guest traffic. |
| Fragmented, hardware-specific management. | Single cloud dashboard for centralized management. |
| Limited scalability. | Architecture built to scale with future expansion. |
THE CHALLENGE
A campus network that had outlived its hardware
The school’s network was built on switches and access points that had reached end-of-life and end-of-support.
New access points were added later under a separate controller.
The mismatch meant no consistent management layer and no seamless roaming.
With smart classrooms and technology-enabled learning central to the school’s approach, the network itself had become a bottleneck.
OUR APPROACH
Site survey first, spec sheet second
We began with an onsite survey to assess the campus block by block, followed by a detailed Wi-Fi site assessment to identify where coverage was falling short and why.
We developed a comprehensive Wi-Fi heat map of the campus, which will, in the implementation stage, determine the precise placement and quantity of access points required to achieve complete, reliable coverage.
Using these findings, we evaluated the school’s existing flat, unmanaged network against the requirements of a modern campus environment.
We designed a cloud-managed architecture around those requirements.
THE SOLUTION
| 2x REDUNDANT CORE SWITCHES | 6E WI-FI STANDARD DEPLOYED | 10G FIBER BACKBONE | 1 UNIFIED DASHBOARD |
Resilient Core
Two core switches operate in a high-availability stack.
This eliminates the single point of failure present in the previous flat network and provides a stable foundation for all downstream infrastructure.
Access Layer Switching
Multi-gigabit-capable switches connect endpoints and access points to the core.
It replaces unmanaged switching with a layer that supports proper segmentation and centralized monitoring.
Multi-gigabit access ports
Campus-Wide Wi-Fi 6E
Access point placement across classrooms, offices, and common areas, with next-generation Wi-Fi 6E access points delivering high-performance coverage.
Segmentation & Scale
Staff, student, and guest networks are segmented across separate VLANs.
A 10G single-mode fiber backbone provides headroom for future growth in device density and digital learning requirements.
